Congratulations to Lenore Jackett on winning the Holiday Shopping Passport grand prize of $1,500 in downtown money!

Lenore’s winning Holiday Shopping Passport was drawn Jan. 10 at Kawartha Local at 165 King Street.

The Holiday Shopping Passports program is run by the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area and rewards people for supporting local businesses by shopping, dining and enjoying downtown. Shoppers get a stamp for every $10 spent downtown, with 20 stamps making a full passport which is entered into draws for a total of $3,000 in downtown money. Participation in this year’s Holiday Shopping Passport program increased by 32.5% over last year.

“We would like to thank everyone who supported our local downtown businesses this holiday season,” says Terry Guiel, Executive Director of the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area. “We estimate that our holiday shoppers spent nearly $1.9 million downtown through the passport program, which is amazing!”
